This walnut trencher bowl has rustic charm ! It measures 27” long x 13” wide and 3” high. I carved this from a solid walnut log and highlighted its unique features...a knot-hole in the bottom and I left the carving gouge marks on the ends of the log. This is one-of-a-kind and I beautiful!

I made this by cutting the log in half with a chainsaw and carving out the inside and leaving the natural edge on the outside. I also left the chisel marks on the outside ends for for an interesting feature. The proportions of this piece are very elegant and tasteful. You will notice the contrast of the white sap wood and the dark chocolate brown heartwood and the curving surface which I sanded smooth. This is perfect for your kitchen island or dining table.

It is finished with several coats of a durable oil urethane sealer which is hand rubbed to a wonderful satin sheen.
